Beggars who ply major metropolis in Ilorin , Kwara state capital are currently lamenting as scarcity of naira notes bites hard in the state while others begging for alms at the premises of banks , eateries and supper market have reduced and some disappeared since the new currency issues began.
Speaking to Royal Times in Ilorin ,one of the beggars, Utman Alero , said unlike in the past, when he realised over N3,000 daily, now all the customers are asking for an account number he does not have.
Other beggars in separate interviews said some good Samaritans bring food for them in the morning or evening but lamented that life has been more difficult praying to God to help soften the hardship experienced across the country.
