ASUU Strike: Varsity Lectures To Review Court Decision

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU has said it will review the judgement of the Appeal Court that ordered the union to end its strike, to determine its next line of action.
Recall that the appeal court today ordered the union to return to work as earlier ordered by the National Industrial Court with immediate effect.
In reaction to the fresh court judgement, ASUU President, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke said that the union is yet to officially receive the Appeal Court ruling.
He said the union will after receiving the judgement, go through the document with its lawyers and decide on its next line of action.
Meanwhile, President, Major Muhammadu Buhari during the presentation of the 2023 Budget today insisted that the Federal Government will not sign any agreement it could not fulfil.
He further stated that to resolve the problem, the government has provided a total of four hundred and seventy billion naira in the 2023 budget for the revitalization and salary enhancements in tertiary institutions.
