Amusan Nominated for Women’s World Athletics Award

Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier has dismissed reports claiming that Kylian Mbappe will leave the club next summer.
Recalled that a report from Spanish newspaper emerged on Tuesday, saying the 23-year-old French striker is keen on leaving PSG, despite only signing a new contract with the club earlier this year.
Mbappe started the Champions League game against Benfica last night and found the net for the French champions in the 1-1 draw.
However, the manager denied the rumours after the game, saying, it is just a rumour without fact in it at all.
Nigeria’s Oluwatobiloba Amusan has been nominated for the Women’s World Athlete of the Year award.
The World Athletics confirmed Amusan as one of the 10 nominees for the prestigious award today.
Amusan opened her 2022 season by winning the 100m hurdles at the Diamond League event in Paris with a time of 12.41s, breaking the African record by 0.01s.
Also, she proceeded to win gold in the 100m hurdles at the 2022 African Championships in Mauritius, defending her title with a time of 12.57s. And also won gold in the women’s 4×100m relay.
However, At the 2022 Commonwealth games, Amusan successfully defended her title, winning her second consecutive gold medal in the 100m hurdles and setting a new games record of 12.30s.
Deontay Wilder says he is looking forward to a fight with Anthony Joshua in Africa.
The heavyweight’s goal is to become world champion again, but Wilder also has big plans for a bout against Britain’s Joshua.
It can be recalled in the history of boxing greats Mohammad Ali and Goerge Foreman fought in Kinshasa the Democratic Republic of in 1974.
The boxer explained that both himself and Joshua have their root from Africa and that it would be an amazing opportunity to have their fight there and also connect back to the motherland.
However, wilder said it will be an amazing fight either win, lose, or draw.
