Akintoye berates radio hijackers, disowns agitators

The leader of the umbrella body of Yoruba Nation Self Determination Struggle Prof. Banji Akintoye has condemned the invasion of a radio station in Ibadan by a group claiming to be fighting for the liberation of Yoruba people.

Suspected Yoruba Nation agitators on Sunday hijacked Amuludun 99.1 FM in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

A statement by Akintoye’s Assistant Director of Programmes, Olatunde Amusat, described action of the group as lawless and profoundly criminal.
