Accused of diverting two-point-three billion naira public funds, Orubebe gets ten million naira bail

Accused of diverting two-point-three billion naira of public funds, a former minister, Godsday Orubebe, has been granted bail in the sum of ten million naira. The Abuja High Court on Wednesday granted bail to Mr. Orubebe, a former Niger Delta Affairs Minister.
The judge, Olukayode Adeniyi, in his ruling, ordered Orubebe to remain in the custody of ICPC until his bail conditions are met. He adjourned the case till the tenth of November for hearing.
The defendants allegedly diverted about two-point-three billion naira meant for the dualisation of Section four of the East-West Road, which runs from Edo to Bayelsa.
