A Bill to make 2023 Appropriation For the Year Ending Thirty – First Day of December, Two Thousand and Twenty Three has passed through Second Reading after Hon. Magaji Abubakar Olawoyin of Ilorin Central moved a motion for the Bill to be read the second time and seconded by Hon. Abdullahi Danbaba at the Kwara state house of assembly today.
The Appropriation Bill passed through second reading following a debate on the General principles of bill led by House Leader, Hon. Abubakar Olawoyin representing Ilorin Central Constituency
Hon. Magaji expressed the hope that the Appropriation Bill tagged “Budget of Economic Expansion and Sustainable Development” when passed would enhance further development of the State and consolidate the achievements of the present administration since assumption of office.
However, the speaker of the house, right honourable Yakubu Danladi Salihu who presided over the Plenary Proceedings directed the Clerk to the House to read the Bill the second time and eventually passed through Second Reading
The Bill was thereafter referred to the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation for further Legislative actions while all other Standing Committees shall serve as Sub-Committees and to report to the House in due course
